A novel dual band, highly sensitive Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) sensor for permittivity measurements is presented. pair of modified Complementary Split Ring Resonators (CSRRs) etched on SIW surface. CSRRs are located in the center SIW, where electric field distribution high so that coupling be maximized. The between and as well adjacent results two notches transmission coefficient. These vary with dielectric loading sensor. ratio a notch variation to load determines sensitivity proposed Two sensitivities proportional provided. Normalized from both show identical values. Therefore, any environmental effect have same TZs.
